AWGUL FISHING 2023 FISHING GUIDE SERVICE RULES & INFORMATION

Introduction

My name is Anthony Awgul and I'm the owner of Awgul Fishing. I want to thank you so much for your interest in booking a fishing charter with me. I would be honored to be your fishing guide and have you come aboard my boat to make memories on the water that will last a lifetime! Please read the following rules and information pertaining to my fishing guide service to prepare for your upcoming fishing charter!

My Boat and Equipment

You don’t need the best gear to be a good angler, but it sure does help you be more efficient and effective on the water! That's why I fish out of a brand new 2022 Crestliner MX19 bass boat with a 200 horsepower Mercury Pro XS engine. My boat is almost 20' long and 8' wide and can comfortable fit up to four people (Including myself). At full throttle, my boat’s top speed goes over 60 mph!

I have a brand new 112 lb thrust Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor rigged on the front of my boat to help us navigate spots while we’re fishing. My trolling motor has “Spot Lock,” a GPS anchoring system that can keep my boat stationary in one spot despite any present wind, waves, or current so we can stay right on the spot and stay on the fish!

I use the best and most modern fishing electronics on my boat to help me be a more productive fishing guide. I have a Humminbird Helix 9 in the cockpit that has GPS mapping, side imaging, down imaging, and sonar functions to help us find cover, structure, and fish efficiently. On the front of my boat, I have a Garmin Echomap 93sv with Garmin Panoptix Livescope LVS34. This unit lets us see fish swimming and feeding around the boat in real time! With Livescope, we can even track our baits in the water during the cast and watch fish react to our presentations in real time! If you are interested in learning how I use my system of fishing electronics to be more successful on the water, I'd be happy to teach you!

I will provide you and your fishing buddies with high quality spinning rod and reel combos to use on your fishing charter. I can provide baitcasting rod and reel combo options for more experienced anglers (Or those who'd like to learn how to use these types of reels). I also have very user friendly push-button spincast rod and reel combos for less experienced anglers if requested.  I provide all my clients with a complete arsenal of top quality Awgul Fishing lures, soft plastics, and tackle available at your disposal as we fish.

Some clients enjoy bringing their own rods, reels, and tackle. You are more than welcome to bring as much of your own equipment as you would like on your fishing charter (My boat has more than enough room to accompany a large amount of gear).

How To Book A Fishing Charter

There are two ways to book a fishing charter with me. First, you can call/text Awgul Fishing at (267) 730-3203. Or, you can book conveniently and securely online at www.awgulfishing.com/fishingcharters.

Since I have such affordable fishing charter rates, we require that you provide full payment up front to hold a booking for a fishing charter. This payment can be processed via credit or debit card over the phone or securely online at www.awgulfishing.com/fishingcharters. Please note that if you would prefer to pay with cash or check, you must arrange to provide payment upfront to hold your booking for a fishing charter.

To book your fishing charter online, visit our website at www.awgulfishing.com and fill out the "Fishing Charter Registration Form." Once you've completed the form, click "Proceed to Checkout" and provide your payment information to finalize the booking. Note that the date and time you select for your charter will not be confirmed until I respond and confirm that your charter is officially booked. If the date and time you select for your charter is not available after you've filled out the form and paid, I will work with you to select another available date and time.

Upon providing payment and submitting the "Fishing Charter Registration Form," you will receive a confirmation via email listing the date, time, and meeting location for your fishing charter as well as other important fishing charter information.

I will be in touch with you in the weeks prior to your fishing charter to inform you which boat ramp you will be meeting me at on the lake. Unless you want to launch out of a specific boat ramp on the lake, I will select the boat ramp that I believe will provide the most efficient access to active and feeding fish based on my recent fishing experience on the lake and current conditions. All members of your group are expected to arrive at the specified boat ramp and be ready to board my boat exactly at our scheduled charter start time to avoid any delays.

For any questions about booking a fishing charter with me, call/text us (267) 730-3203, email awgulfishing@gmail.com, or visit www.awgulfishing.com

Fishing Charter Rules and Information

I require all of my clients to review, understand, and obey these rules while riding and fishing in my boat. These rules will ensure a positive fishing experience for everyone onboard. Failure to obey some of these rules may result in the early termination of your fishing charter at the discretion of Anthony Awgul without refund or credit.

1.) We Target Bass: On our fishing charters, we target largemouth bass and smallmouth bass. However, we may catch other species we’re not targeting such as walleye, panfish, pickerel, catfish, striped bass, musky, trout, carp, and more while we target bass. If young children are part of your group, I am willing to target panfish for them. If you have special requests to target other species of fish than bass, please notify me when booking your fishing charter and I will try to accommodate your request if I am able and willing.

2.) We Use Artificial Lures Only: On my fishing charters, we only use artificial lures in true bass sportsmanlike fashion. If you make a special request to bring your own live bait, it may be permitted as long as you don’t make a mess on my boat with it and/or prevent us from efficiently and effectively targeting bass. If young children are part of your group, I may be especially willing to allow you to bring your own live bait to target panfish.

3.) No Keeping Fish: On my boat we practice catch, photograph, and release sportfishing ONLY with no exceptions. On occasion, we may temporarily store keeper sized fish in my boat’s aerated livewells for pictures at the end of our fishing charter or to revive the fish before releasing it. However, we will be releasing all of these fish back alive into the lake afterwards.

4.) Tobacco Use: Customers of age may use tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, dip, and vapes ONLY if you responsibly dispose of your waste and do not make a mess on my boat or damage my property with hot cigarette/cigar butts, ashes, or spit waste. Customers that cause damage or mess to my property with tobacco products may be held liable according to my fishing charter agreement and waiver document.

5.) Absolutely No Alcohol or Illegal Drugs: Alcohol and illegal drugs are not allowed on my boat because alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited and illegal on the site of Lake Nockamixon State Park and Blue Marsh Lake. If I discover that you have brought alcohol or illegal drugs on my boat, I must immediately end your fishing charter and take you back to the dock without any refund or credit.

6.) Snags: Everyone is bound to get their lure snagged on the bottom of the lake or hung up in a tree every once in a while. When your bait is snagged, notify me immediately so I can help unsnag your lure in judgment free fashion.

7.) Bathroom Breaks: My boat does not have a bathroom on it, so if you need to use the bathroom while on the water simply notify me as soon as possible so that I can make accommodations for you.

8.) No swimming: Swimming is not permitted on my fishing charters and customers must remain boarded in the boat unless permission is given by Anthony Awgul to offboard.

9.) Respect My Equipment: I have invested a lot of money into my equipment and I invest a lot of time into maintaining my equipment so that I can share it with many people and offer them a positive fishing charter experience. While on my boat, I require you to respect and preserve my property. This includes respecting my fishing rods, fishing reels, fishing lures, boat seats, boat carpet, and other related property. You may be held liable for damage and/or loss you cause to my property according to my fishing charter agreement and waiver document.

10.) Have Fun: Sometimes the fish simply don’t want to bite. However, this is no reason to prevent us from having a memorable, educational, and exciting day on the water! I encourage you to maintain a positive attitude while we’re fishing so that everyone can enjoy their time on the water and learn something new!
