As a full-time professional fishing guide, my goal is to do everything in my power and ability to give you and your fishing buddies the best chance to catch as many big fish as possible while also having an educational, enjoyable, and memorable experience on the water. I will take you to my best fishing spots, share my favorite proven techniques, and use my $100,000+ worth of top-of-the-line gear and equipment to try to put you on fish—but I cannot offer a fish catch guarantee.

While most trips result in catching at least one fish per hour (with some trips resulting in many more), results are never guaranteed. Although rare, some trips can experience slow fishing, and occasionally, we don’t catch any fish at all. However, over the last five years of full-time guiding, zero-catch trips have occurred on less than 5% of my fishing trips.

Lake Nockamixon is known as a trophy bass fishing destination, but it can also be a challenging fishery. The lake offers diverse fish habitat and has a slightly below-average population of predatory fish, which allows the fish that are present to grow larger than usual—giving you a better chance to catch trophy bass. Some techniques and lures we use can be advanced for beginners, but I am committed to guiding you through them to maximize your success.

Fishing is a surprisingly mental game. Unnecessary pressure, frustration, or unrealistic expectations for your fishing guide will certainly reduce your chances of success. I have thousands of hours of fishing experience on Lake Nockamixon over the last two decades, and I have worked tirelessly to figure out how to maximize our catching success and consistency on this fishery (So much so that I have made a successful full-time career out of guiding). The best approach during your fishing trip with me is to relax, have fun, ask questions, learn, and trust me to read the conditions, figure out the bite, and adjust as needed.

If you are looking for guaranteed catches, or will be upset with me if fishing is slow, this may not be the right trip for you. I aim to work with clients who want an educational, exciting, and enjoyable fishing experience as we try to catch some of the biggest bass Pennsylvania has to offer.
